The Changing World of Inland Navigation and Why Skilled Skippers Matter More Than Ever

Welcome to our page, colleague.
If you are here, it means you share the same passion we do: helping the next generation of inland navigation skippers grow into confident, capable, and responsible leaders on the water.

This website was created with one purpose —

to support your journey toward safer, smarter, and more effective ship management.

🎓 Why We Built This Platform

We have prepared a collection of valuable learning materials so that you can:

  • overcome daily challenges more safely
  • strengthen your practical knowledge
  • and prepare with confidence for your upcoming exams

The inland navigation industry is changing rapidly.
Tourism and cargo transport have grown dramatically in recent years, and every ship must be manned as quickly as possible.
This has created a huge demand for qualified skippers.

âš“ The Challenge We All See

Becoming an inland waterway captain takes years of dedication.
You start as a Light Sailor, then Sailor, then Steersman — and only after gaining enough experience can you step into the role of Captain.

But because of the high demand, companies are often forced to place responsibility in the hands of people who simply haven’t had the same training or practice as the older generation of skippers.

The result?

More accidents.

Not because people don’t want to learn —
but because they haven’t had the chance to gain enough practical experience or route knowledge.

🌊 What We Want to Improve

This is exactly why we started this project.

Our goal is to help every future skipper:

  • understand the river better
  • learn the unique characteristics of each route
  • build real confidence
  • and grow into the role safely and professionally

We believe that knowledge should be accessible, practical, and useful —
and that every colleague deserves the chance to become the best version of themselves on the water.

🚀 Your Journey Continues Here

Explore our materials, learn at your own pace, and take the next step toward becoming a skilled and confident skipper.
